NSN began as a group project with myself and my two youngest daughters.
The year before my third-grader had worked on a class project making a solar system quilt for display at a local quilt show. She showed a keen interest and worked very hard to compile many facts about Mercury.
As it happened, my sixth-grader was in the process of her astronomy unit in science class. With many facts fresh in her mind she was a great help too.
We live in Minnesota now and this past winter got to see the Northern Lights for the first time. What an amazing sight. We also got to see a blue moon. This year we got binoculars to see the moon better. Our next goal is to acquire a proper telescope.
We hope you enjoy the website and are as happy with the result as we are.
